Skip the Mimosa and try this sparkling, tropical tippler instead. With a base of dark rum, falernum and Cynar 70—an extra-boozy version of the bitter Italian artichoke liqueur—it gets a bubbly finish from a mix of soda water and sparkling wine.

INGREDIENTS

  • .5 oz dark rum
  • 1 oz Cynar 70
  • .5 oz falernum
  • 4 oz dry sparkling wine
  • 2 oz soda water
  • Lemon Wheel

INSTRUCTIONS

Step one

Pour the dark rum, falernum and Cynar into a wine glass.  

Step two

Add ice to the glass and top with the sparkling wine and soda water.

Step three

Garnish with a lemon wheel.
