You don't need much to make DrinksMadeEasy's bourbon blackberry collins. Made with blackberry simple syrup, bourbon, lemon and lime juice, and club soda, this tasty collins proves that sometimes simple is better.
Bourbon Blackberry Collins
- ½ cup sugar
- ½ cup water
- 1½ oz. bourbon
- ¾ oz. fresh lemon juice
- ¾ oz. lime juice
- 1 oz. blackberry simple syrup
- chilled club soda
- blackberry ice cubes
- First make your blackberry syrup by adding 16 oz of blackberries to ½ cup sugar and ½ cup water. Bring to a boil. Remove from heat once blackberries become soft. Strain into a vessel for storage and chill.
- In a cocktail shaker full of ice add 1 oz blackberry syrup, bourbon, lemon and lime juices. Shake vigorously for 15 seconds or so.
- Strain into a blackberry ice-filled collins glass. Top off with club soda and garnish with the remaining blackberries.
