Score a Snack Touchdown With These Garlic Bread Meatball Sliders

From the unfussy preparation to the robust flavor in each one, these sliders are the crowd-pleaser of Sunday snacks. Go forth and score a culinary touchdown. 

Garlic Bread Meatball Sliders

Total Time: 25 minutes
Yield: 9 sliders

INGREDIENTS:
  • 10½ ounces ground beef
  • 1 egg
  • 1 white onion, diced
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons paprika
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley 
  • 2 teaspoons dried oregano
  • Pinch salt
  • Pinch pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1¾ cups tomato purée
  • 2¾ ounces Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 7 ounces mozzarella cheese, grated
  • 7 ounces mozzarella
  • 9 slider buns
  • 4 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 2 ounces melted butter
DIRECTIONS:
  • Preheat the oven to 375°F.
  • In a large bowl, thoroughly mix the ground beef, egg, onion, garlic powder, paprika, parsley, oregano, and grated Parmesan. Roll the meat into balls using your hands.
  • In a medium-sized saucepan lined with 2 tablespoons of olive oil, heat the meatballs until evenly browned on all sides. Add the tomato purée, and sprinkle the pan with a pinch of salt and pepper. Heat for approximately 4-5 minutes or until the mixture is slightly cooked down.
  • Line a baking dish with the bottom halves of the slider buns and lay a meatball on each. Using a spoon, drizzle the tomato sauce over each one, and top with a generous sprinkle of freshly grated mozzarella. Add the bun tops. 
  • In a small bowl, mix the melted butter and crushed garlic. Stir well, and use a culinary brush to evenly paint the top buns with the sauce. 
  • Bake in the oven for 15 minutes, or until the cheese has melted, and serve.
