Jungle Bird Cocktail


  • 1 1/2 oz dark rum
  • 1/2 oz Campari
  • 1 1/2 oz pineapple juice
  • 1/2 oz lime juice
  • 1/2 oz orange peel syrup:
  • peels of 1 orange
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup water


  • In a saucepan, bring water and sugar to a boil. Add orange peels to the mixture and bring to a boil again. Reduce the heat to low for 10 minutes. Remove the syrup from heat and allow to cool entirely. Strain the orange peels.
  • Add all ingredients into a shaker filled with ice except for sliced pineapple. Shake vigorously.
  • Strain the cocktail into a glass filled with ice. Garnish with pineapple.
