Pizza-Loaded Potatoes Will Expand Your Pizza Horizons

If you're like us, you're looking for new ways to add more pizza into your diet. 0815 BBQ shows us that you can make these cheesy, pizza loaded potatoes in just about an hour with just six ingredients. You can always add on toppings. 

Pizza Loaded Potatoes

Total Time: 1 hour
Yield: 6 half pizza potatoes

INGREDIENTS:
  • 3 big potatoes
  • 8 oz of grated cheese
  • 7 oz tomato-sauce
  • 1 tbsp mixed herbs- dried oregano, thyme, garlic and onion
  • 12 slices of salami (or Italian pepperoni sausage)
  • 1 medium sized yellow onion
DIRECTIONS:
  • Precook potatoes for 30 minutes
  • In the Meantime: Slice the sausage and dice the onion. Then mix tomato sauce with the dried herbs
  • Let potatoes cool down a bit
  • Cut potatoes in half (lengthwise)
  • Take a spoon and scoop out a bit out of the potato
  • Then add tomato-sauce, sausage, onions and grated cheese
  • Grill on medium indirect heat for 30 minutes at 320 -330° F
  • Enjoy!
