How to Make This Creamy Tres Leches Martini

For the monolingual, tres leches translates to "three milks," and commonly refers to a Mexican cake known for its bewilderingly rich, savory flavor. For the monolingual, martini translates to "I'm going to get thoroughly toasted and look classy as hell while doing so," and commonly refers to James Bond and his shaken/stirred exploits.

If you want to combine the two in heavenly, milky, bougie alchemy (and why the shit wouldn't you? Don't you like to party, bro?) this is what you need to do.

Tres Leches Martini

Total Time: 5 minutes
Yield: 1

INGREDIENTS:
  • 1 ounce cream
  • 1 ounce evaporated milk
  • 3 ounces condensed milk
  • 1 ounce coconut rum
  • 1 bottle vodka
  • 1 vanilla bean
  • Cinnamon, for garnish
DIRECTIONS:
  • First, you're gonna make a fancy vanilla-infused vodka. To do that, split a vanilla bean lengthwise and scrape all the crap out of the middle. Toss it in a glass jar, then fill the jar with vodka. Let it sit for about three days, then strain. It's worth it, but if you're lazy you can always sub in vanilla-flavored vodka.
  • Pour the cream, milks, rum, and 1 ounce of your infused vodka into an ice-filled shaker and shake it vigorously.
  • Strain it into a glass and garnish with cinnamon.
