Picante Pomegranate

This Martini is a seasonal customer favorite at The Broadmoor’s onsite French bistro Summit in Colorado Springs— it's always on the menu during the holidays. Like a Christmas cactus in a glass, it’s made with tequila, pomegranate juice, Pama liqueur and lemon juice. The tart, tangy cocktail gets an extra kick from black pepper simple syrup and a Campari-sugar rim. Its bittersweet flavor is such an addicting tongue-teaser, you’ll have trouble stopping at one.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1.5 oz Tequila
  • .75 oz Black pepper syrup
  • .5 oz Pomegranate Juice
  • .5 oz Pomegranate Liqueur
  • .25 oz Lemon juice
  • Campari and sugar

INSTRUCTIONS

Step one

Rim a coupe glass with Campari and then sugar.

Step two

Place all remaining ingredients in a cocktail shaker and add ice.

Step three

Shake and strain into the sugar-rimmed coupe glass.
