RECIPE

Poison Dart

Not much is known about the mysterious origins of the Poison Dart, but bartenders have kept the tiki classic alive by word of mouth. It is one of the only bourbon-based tiki cocktails, making it a truly unique drink worth passing down bartender generation to bartender generation. Don’t expect the round, molasses flavors you get from a traditional rum-based tiki cocktail. Instead, bourbon and Cynar team up with tiki standbys like nutty orgeat, cinnamon syrup and allspice dram, to make a warm, spicy drink fit for a nitecap. Since we can’t thank the man or woman who invented this incredible cocktail (because we have no idea who is responsible for it), we instead thank the tiki gods for sending us this Poison Dart in a cloud of whiskey-based mystery.
