The key to making a great Presbyterian is keeping things simple—there’s no need for homemade ginger syrup or fancy ginger beers. The cocktail calls for two simple ingredients: ginger ale and blended scotch. It’s one of the easiest and best ways to enjoy scotch—aside from neat.

Sweet, Dry


  • 2 oz Blended Scotch
  • ginger ale
  • Ice


Step one

Add cubed ice to a highball glass, followed by the scotch.

Step two

Top with ginger ale and stir with a bar spoon to incorporate.

Mix It Up!

We recommend trying different blended scotches such as Black Bottle, Bank Note, Dewars or Famous Grouse. If you add fresh lime juice, the cocktail becomes a Mamie Taylor.
