Bacon, Egg and Whiskey

The Whiskey Sour is a tried and true cocktail staple, but there are times when you want something with a little more pizzaz. Inspired by the best breakfast invention of all time—the bacon, egg and cheese sandwich—this variation on the Whiskey Sour uses frothy egg whites and a bacon-infused bourbon to give it a salty, savory depth. While this could make a delicious cocktail first thing in the morning, we recommend at least waiting until brunch.

Step one

Add all ingredients except for the garnish to a shaker tin and dry shake.

Step two

Crack the tin and add ice to the shaker. Shake again for at least one minute more.

Step three

Strain into a rocks glass and garnish with an orange twist and a piece of candied bacon.
