Whiskey Margarita

Who says you can’t make a Margarita with whiskey? Here, the classic beachside sipper gets tricked out with Bulleit Rye, which delivers notes of fruit and butterscotch followed by a peppery finish, and the sweet, vanilla-forward Licor 43. Fresh orange and lemon juices help dial up the flavor to 11 on this variation, which may forever alter your perception of the perfect margarita cocktail.

Sweet, Sour


  • 1 oz Bulleit Rye
  • .25 oz Licor 43
  • .75 oz Orange Juice
  • .5 oz Lemon Juice


Step one

Add ingredients to a shaker filled with ice.

Step two

Shake to combine.

Step three

Strain over cracked ice in a Collins glass.

Step four

Garnish with orange peel.
