Mankind has always been driven to conquer new frontiers, like when Lewis and Clark set off on the trail to Oregon, then spent most of the trip "hunting", because deciding whether or not to caulk the wagon is mad boring, son. From a Seattle co. conquering new web-comedy frontiers, Bag of Misfits, launching today.
Having already turned their repository of 2nd-hand web-vids into the fifth(!) most popular YouTube channel, the Seattle-based LOLZ-empire behind FAILblog and Friends of Irony (plus 50 other sites) have upped their video... game with a regularly-updated collection of original hilarity from a carefully assembled crew of Tom Green-style comedy vets, like...um, well, Tom Green. Seriously, he's one of them (brothers got to eat). The humorously moving pictures include:
Twin Tux Rental: The Crank-Yankers-ish Robotic Bees prank a salesgirl by pretending to be a father with concerns about renting a tuxedo for his conjoined twins' prom, including whether the twins'll look fat in a pair of pants with "like a 64" waist" (yes... yes they will).
Ashes: Prolific YouTuber Peter Coffin stands in random places (outside a general store, in front of a car, next to a group of tourists), and obnoxiously spreads people's ashes, including those of his cousin/sister/mother/lover Daphne, but not mother-lover Daphne, because that jokes' a little Lorne out.
Free Range Chicken: The ladies from alt-comedy troupe RAD Girls take to the streets of San Francisco dressed as chickens, in a performance so method it includes laying an egg via Kegel exercises, as Katherine Heigl exercises only result in being a tight ass.
The LOLZ guys will also be launching a music video site next week, and'll be adding BOM vids from the aforementioned Tom Green, suburban homeboy Eric Schwartz aka Smooth-E, and ironic cooking advice B*tchin in the Kitchen, but, really what do you expect when you try to bring home more than 400lbs of buffalo?
