Ronda Rousey's Pre-Fight Ritual? Tons of Sex.

Ronda Rousey is killing it right now — literally. Well, not literally; no one's died yet, but she's still doing really well.

Recently, the MMA fighter revealed during "Jim Rome on Showtime" that her key to success leading up to a fight is sex. Lots of sex. When Rome asked Rousey her take on Muhammed Ali's philosophy on abstaining from sex for six weeks before a fight, Rousey responded that she does just the opposite... um, a lot.

"For girls, it raises your testosterone, so I try to have as much sex as possible before a fight," Rousey said, against a chorus of audience laughter. She then assured viewers that she's not scouring Craigslist for hookups, but rather getting it a lot from a steady sparring partner or two.

Abstaining from sex for a male athlete, on the other hand, really doesn't impact the way they fight, while a study confirms that the female orgasm can cause a small increase in testosterone concentrations and a very strong increase in prolactin, the latter of which boosts your immune system.

Both masturbation and sex are good for fighting, ladies. The takeaway: before you beat someone up, beat off.
