In the first interesting dating app innovation in a long while, Spotify and Tinder have announced a collab allowing people to incorporate music into their online-dating profiles. Love + music = YASSSS!
You can now add an "anthem" to your Tinder profile, giving potential mates a clue about your disturbing Coldplay obsession before they take you out for dinner. In my personal opinion, I don't think I could date a guy who was as obsessed with Joni Mitchell, the Spice Girls, and Dolly Parton as I am. I don't know, though -- and at least now there's a way to pre-screen for things like that.
The partnership makes swiping next-level; and also allows Tinder users to send their matches songs straight from Spotify to get the juices flowing. Ah music, the greatest love connection of all; saying all the things we can't put into words.
The best part? You don't even have to make a Spotify account to be able to use this killer new feature. But if you DO have a Spotify account (i.e., everyone), you can link it to your Tinder to check out people who follow the same albums, artists, and playlists as you do. Here is a helpful video to show you how to link your Tinder and Spotify.
First date to a concert, anyone?
This marks yet another ingenious way to bring singles together for long-lasting romances, or at least one-night stands that include a really incredible playlist at the ready.
