There's nothing quite like the bond between two best friends, unless you're talking proximity mines in Facility, as there's really no skill in that. For two best buds bonding together to shod your feet, get to Fly Kix.
Kix is a flashy sneaks-shop owned by two fashion-centric BFFz, sporting a mural featuring the Hawks/ Braves/ Falcons logos and other iconic ATL imagery, a 60-game arcade machine (Ms. Pac-Man, Galaga...), plus Jordans and Barkleys pasted onto framed canvases and paint-splattered by artist Laila Ali, who just happens to have the same name as Muhammad's daughter, who you may know as the host of the new American Gladiators while pregnant, and hungry like the Wolf. They carry sneaks from NYC's Alife, Euro-styled Atelier Arthurs, low-tops from Tretorn, mids from Penguin, and Heyday higher-than-highs; heavier footing includes rugged boots from Palladium, super-limited Vane-collab Sebago Docksides, and models from Jump like the Deluxe "Vanquish", designed by Taboo of the Black Eyed Peas, who only made it into the group because Scattergories was still at Timmy Johnson's house. Non-footwear includes fitted caps from NY-based Frank's Chop Shop, along with jeans, cardigans, button-downs, and wool jackets from Sabit, Kilogram hoodies, hooded vests from Carapace, and tees like "Trend Setter" from Seattle-based T.I.T.S, worn on the cover of his latest mixtape by prison-bound Gucci Mane, who hopefully got his fill, because he won't be seeing them for a while.
Look out for the grand opening party in late Feb, complete with cookout tents out front and even a hip-hop concert on the roof, which at some point will surely be "on fire", likely right after you regenerate in the ducts above the bathroom.
