Denmark is Scandinavia's stealth culture-supplier, quietly giving us both Hans Christian Andersen, and futuristic Egg Chairs in which to
read Hans Christian Andersen get soft-boiled and watch The Little Mermaid. Now Denmark's giving Big D something to wear after exiting that chair: Sand.
For 30yrs, this Copenhagen husband-and-wife team's been merging "Italian lifestyle and Scandinavian craftsmanship", a combination of fundamentals and flair that makes them the Volvorghini of the fashion world. Offerings that've made their way to Sebastian's Closet include:
Blazers: Modern cut, slim-shouldered, and single breast-pocketed with a straight-or-flat lapel option as well as more traditionally tapered designs, Sand's blazers come in a range of colors, patterns, and fabrics, including checkered, tweed, and leather-and-wool, sadly also a description of Shannon these days.
Suits: The coats are slim-cut & single-breasted with narrow lapels, while the Euro-cut pants are pleat-less; patterns include striped and checkered, the formality of chess being reserved for your One Night in Bangkok.
Shirts: Contrast collar/cuff button-downs come in a range of patterns, from mild (checks) to bold (broad yellow stripes w/ purple patches), and feature Euro-tailoring that's pocket-free, which sucks if you were hoping to microwave a Chicken & Cheddar with Broccoli.
Sebastian's also plans to bring over tuxes, vests, scarves, and pants, probably a good idea after spending a few hours sitting in your Egg Chair "sunny side up".
