Finding yourself in a bus can lead to all sorts of adventures, though all of them will end tragically if you don't keep that thing above 65mph until Keanu can figure out where Dennis Hopper put that bomb. Now providing four-wheel adventures to make your upper torso look bomb, the Marine Layer VW Bus.
From the dudes behind super-soft tee-porium Marine Layer, the MLVWB is a somehow-rust-free 1969 Volkswagen Bus in Neptune blue that the ML guys stripped down (to make room for a couch, keg, and shirts), carpeted, rebranded, and de-curtained, refurbishing it enough to become the city's first mobile shirt-selling unit, a distinction that almost puts it on par with Visanthe Shiancoe's shirt-selling unit, though hopefully that one is wearing pants. Making its maiden tee-slinging voyage tomorrow for the World Champion Giants' home opener, this Craigslist gem will cozy up to the northeast corner of Lot A, then open the door starting at 10a when they'll be hooking up free pre-game brews from Pacific Brewing Laboratories (aka the Clara Street Brewing Collective), selling special edition Giants orange 'n black tees (available in all their perfect-fit-ensuring half sizes, like smedium, marge, and larger), and handing out 50 gratis pulled pork sandos from Big Nate's, which you definitely won't get to try if you hold up... waaiiiiit. And thanks to a new engine and tires just installed by a German mechanic in the 'loin, they'll be touring the van up and down the Golden State with an itinerary that'll basically coincide bus trips with their personal vacations (all trackable on their Facebook page), including a Squaw Valley ski weekend, a cruise down the coast to Del Mar, and East Bay excursions to see the A's, where they BETTER roll out a "Don't you know I'm Coco, esse?" tee. Please!
There've also got a few more upgrades to come (including a fresh set of Marine Layer vanity plates) though they promise they won't be making any improvement to the dashboard clock stuck at 4:20, a sure sign that, inside, there's a very different kind of bomb smoking.
