Bang & Olufsen's New 4K TV Is The Ultimate Flatscreen

Bringing their renowned high-design sensibility (and some magical mechanics) to the 4K television game, Bang & Olufsen's new 55-inch BeoVision Avant provides a state of the art ultra-high def picture in a lustworthy system that quite literally bows to your every will.

Unlike similar high-quality screens peddled by the big boys, when you turn this one on, its mechanical stand pivots the screen in your direction to create an optimal viewing angle, no matter where you're sitting. Then it unfolds a hidden sound panel from beneath —  all with the grace and subtlety of a super sexy ballerina. What's more, it employs a Chromatic Room Adaptation feature that analyzes ambient light from two sensors and adjusts the screen to compensate for the room's color tones. Only catch? It's $8,000.
