This iPhone Case Harnesses Ambient Energy to Give You Notifications

We're going to be honest with you, we're not exactly sure how the Lunecase works, but apparently, these Ukrainian engineers somehow found a way to harness the unused electromagnetic energy given off by your phone to power a set of LEDs on the back, alerting you when someone calls or texts.

Since the Lunecase obviously uses dark magic, it doesn't actually need to be connected in any way to your phone's ports — you just snap it on and it works. Impressively, these wizards were able to crunch this system into a normal sized iPhone case. Also, we're pretty sure this is one of the greatest Kickstarter videos of all time.

As the Lunecase creators take great pains to emphasize, the crazy thing about this case is that the power makes it work is completely unused, so it's not a parasite on your phone's battery. Because you need every one of those ten hours of talk time on 3G!
