This is Luke Skywalker's Tatooine home

Remember the last time you were watching A New Hope and thought to yourself, "Man, it'd be super sweet if I could roll into the senior parking lot with a LANDSPEEDER!" Well, sorry, but that will never happen. What will happen is staying in Luke Skywalker's Tatooine home, the H么tel Sidi Driss.

See that hole? That's where you're staying, as it was the filming location for both A New Hope and Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones.

Annnnnnnd here's that hole now, located in Matmata, Tunisia, where you and 144 of your friends can stay for $12 a night, or just under the same price it costs to actually go see a movie.

The Berber architecture at the hotel is an example of the adobe sandstone caverns created during the Punic Wars, but even better than all that history are the relics from Attack of the Clones & frescoes from A New Hope that're dotted around.

There are 20 holes rooms all connected through tunnels into four separate caverns. And if you're hungry, you can grab something at the restaurant, which is way better than The Hut.

You'll have to use serious force to open that door.

In the bar, there isn't a sweet Mos Eisley Cantina alien band, but you will see some artifacts & pictures from the movies. And when you're done boozing, find yourself a driver lest you go home Solo.
