Pay whatever you want to spend the night in a luxe Paris hotel

Ever dreamed of staying in a luxury hotel in Paris for the cost of, well, whatever cash you had in your wallet?

Well, now you can. Until August 10, you can pay whatever the hell you want to spend a night in a comfy, lavish hotel smack dab in the City of Light. Seriously, and you thought the honesty bar thing was crazy.

The one-night-only offer is valid for a double room in one of five three- and four-star hotels; pick from Hotel Plaza Opéra, Villa La Bohème, The Hotel Made in Paris, The French Grand Hotel, or Hotel Villa Opera Lamartine.

Just a couple of caveats: There's a non-refundable booking fee of about $23 (or 17 Euros), you'll have to pay for extras like the minibar and breakfast (as well as covering taxes, of course), and you can't amend the price once you've booked -- which you do here, and not on the hotel's website.

But you are in Paris: the home of the Eiffel Tower, Moulin Rouge, stinky cheeses, and notoriously overpriced accommodation -- this might actually be the best deal in town.
