Did Snoop Dogg/Lion (whatever) throw an OG after-party after playing a show in the UK?
No, but he did stay at a Holiday Inn Express. For real.
Following a gig at Newquay's Boardmasters Surf Festival -- for which he earned close to $37,000 for a two-hour set -- the rapper checked into a Holiday Inn Express in Exeter, which charges just under $118 (or 70 GBP) per night. At that rate, he could have checked in for almost an entire year. But we digress.
Likely the highest and certainly the highest-profile guest to ever grace the Holiday Inn Express in Sowton, Exeter, Snoop Dogg and his peeps (and possibly four of their friends) surprised the hotel staff Sunday around 3am, after partying at a local club where they'd sipped champagne and Grey Goose. According to their taxi driver, Snoop and his entourage appeared to be "in high spirits".
At that time, the renowned rapper agreed it was time to be chillin' at the Holiday Inn.
Snoop's reservation had been booked since July, though hotel workers didn't put two and two together.
"We didn't know it was him until he checked in," the hotel's general manager, Debbie Hamnett said. "All the team were in awe and just thought, wow, out of all the hotels in Exeter and he's staying here!"
"He had a late check out at 3pm and spent time chatting to the staff and having his photo taken with them and customers", Hamnett added. "He was very pleasant and very polite and happy go lucky... They left the rooms in an absolutely perfect state."
Which comes as a surprise since, generally speaking, one thing leads to another to let the party begin.
