This gorgeous drone video will make you want to visit Thailand

Drones have been getting a lot of buzz lately (!!), and it's easy to see why. These remote-controlled machines allow us to do/see things we only once dared dream about, like terrorize terrorists, or deliver bottles of bubbly, or shoot incredible travel videos from wild perspectives.

The latter is exactly what videographer Philip Bloom did on a recent holiday to the island of Koh Yao Noi in Thailand. Armed with two Phantom 2 drones kitted out with GoPro Hero 3+ cameras, Bloom was able to capture one of the country's least developed areas in glorious HD. There's probably a statement to be made here about the juxtaposition of 21st-century technology with rural country life, or something, but we'll leave that to the first-year film students.

Instead, just put on some headphones, make the video below fullscreen, and be prepared to book a flight to Thailand.
