Mike Isabella and other culinary stars take up residence in Tulum

Typically when you're traveling to a place like the Zamas Hotel in Tulum, you're doing so for......oceans that do this... ...beaches that look like this... ...cabanas with porches like this......luxuriously rustic indoor/outdoor digs like this... ...and simple, fresh grub like this. So the fact that Tulum's legendary resort just kicked off a year-long series of guest chef & mixologist residencies is really just the icing on the flan. Mike Isabella of Graffiato in D.C.'s doing tropical Italian in March and Alicia Jenish of San Fran's Grand Cafe brings the brasserie in May. Other monthly participants include SF's Tacolicious, the James Beard semi-finalists from Monk's Kettle/The Abbot's Cellar, and spirits consultants Bon Vivants, meaning this whole thing'll likely end up......on the rocks!
