Surf's up, times three

They say the three things you need for a business to really succeed are location, location, and location...sorry, "naming it Bennigan's". Finding the perfect location for you to surf and do yoga things: Three Jewels Retreat.

A ridiculously exclusive sea 'n sand experience just a quick jaunt from Puerto Vallarta, Jewels combines luxury accommodations with surfing and yoga, and was created by an apparently flexible dude who used to plan south-of-the-border surf trips for his buddies before "finding a house that was paradise", and in the perfect location considering it cozied up to three badass surf breaks, also what Kate Bosworth takes in Blue Crush to bang the Tom Brady character. The core of the fun's four days of wave carvin' 'n stretching, with surf and instruction for all levels/ styles interspersed with optional activities like morning "core power" yoga practice, massages, and meals from a local personal chef and on-site cooking instructor who's happy to teach you to whip up anything from sushi to whole beach-grilled red snapper, proving Christina Hendricks can get grumpy when she's been in the sun too long. On the grounds tip, Jewels rocks an exclusive ,"very tasteful", intentionally non-ashram-like gated estate with room for just 15 guests in accommodations delivering flatscreens w/ Apple TV, free VOIP service, a sprawling groomed lawn leading to white sandy beaches and hammock-hung palms, all looked over by an infinity pool, which is crazy, because nobody can swim that far. Except Jack LaLanne, rest his short soul.

Because airlines hate surfboards for some reason, Jewels has plenty to choose from on-site, from Stewart longboards to Maverick short models, plus beginner boards -- which at Bennigan's, is the chalkboard menu that favors chicken fingers over advanced stuff like the Drunken Pot Roast and the Turkey O'Toole.
