The fine folks at HELM have taken their boots brick 'n mortar, opening up an awesome new shop on a prime piece of E 6th real estate that once housed... a real estate firm. The shop is decked out with all sorts of reclaimed touches, ranging from worn wood paneling and fixtures to an old window pane suspended from the ceiling. This season, they've brought production back to the US (China burn!) and're using all domestic materials (Brown Chromexcel leather, Cone Mills raw denim...) in boots like the Sam, which's named after the HELM honcho's son. The limited-edition Railroad Revival Tour boot (that very obtusely references Willie Nelson) is still on sale, along with bison leather Marions, soon to be released in an olive colorway. The Muller is named after the founder of local band Balmorhea and's made from Fargo leather, likely to keep everyone feeling chipper. Foot-cessories include a rainbow's worth of colored laces, Venetian leather polish, and thick boot socks from Two Feet Ahead. Want something other than boots and socks? Well, they're two feet ahead of you on that, too, with a slew of products from other vendors ranging from bags, to woodworked homewares, to vintage finds like these classic Ray Ban Aviators. And, in a shout-out to HELM's sister business Progress Coffee, they've also concocted a special HELM blend of beans, sure to help you re-boot every morning.
