The pre-made dinner also includes cesar and house salads, candied yams, mashed potatoes, key lime pie, bread pudding, and pumpkin pie for dessert. Roasting an entire pig for Christmas is quite the undertaking. But if you’re dead set on cochinillo this Christmas hit up Bulla, who’ll have a nine-hour roasted pig that serves 12 to 16, or a half-pig that serves half that many. You can also order it with sangria too, if it’s gonna be that kinda Christmas. How to order: Call Bulla at least five days in advance. A whole pig is $380; half pig is $199.

There is, literally, never a bad time for tacos. So if you’d rather feed your family tortillas than yams, hit up Caja Caliente who’ll send over an entire build-your-own taco bar including lechon, vaca frita, pulpo and even gator tacos. It destroys your kitchen like no other food on earth, so let MIA Market’s Israeli food stall make your Hannukah dinner, that’ll include basmati dill rice, chicken or brisket, spiced potato parsley latkes, Israeli salad and baklava. If you’re gonna go the Chinese-food-on-Christmas route, you may as well do it at Miami’s most classic spot. This Bird Road institution has been the city’s go-to for Chinese, along with a great many Chinese international students from University of Miami. Even if you don’t live nearby, it’s worth the trek on the Palmetto. Traffic will be light on Christmas anyway. How to order: Call 305-262-7576 for takeout. Most dishes are $18-25, Peking Duck $75.

Tropical Chinese Restaurant

Chinese food is a time-honored tradition for those who don’t really do Christmas dinner. But maybe this year switch it up and try Indian food from Taquiza’s pop-up Indian spot Naan. As the name implies, they’ll have plenty of fresh-baked Indian bread, as well as samosas, wings, and platters and bowls filled with chicken tikka, lamb rogan josh, tandoori shrimp, palak paneer, and curried quinoa. In South Dade, you won’t find a better Chinese feast than at Gold China, tucked into a shopping plaza on the corner of US-1 and SW 152nd Street. It’s the homey, lavender-hued Chinese restaurant of Christmas past for many of us, and offers some of the quickest takeout turnaround on one of the cuisine’s busiest days. We are lucky here in South Florida, in that most years we have the option to enjoy Christmas brunch or dinner outside, on the water, with a warm tropical breeze. Perhaps the best spot for it will be at The Standard, where Lido’s got a Christmas special of&nbsp; short rib, baby root veggies, and sauteed Tuscan kale starting at noon both days. Though we can’t promise Little Drummer Boy with a salsa beat, we can promise you a Christmas dinner filled with live Latin music set al fresco on Calle Ocho. Sala’o’s sidewalk tables will be filled with all its signature classics like confit smoked pork belly, swordfish carpaccio, and Spanish octopus.
