Nursing the 'hood's landmark grocery (from which it takes its name) into a 70-seat beer/wine-slinger, the local couple behind Phin enlisted outside help in the form of both a yacht designer -- who set off concrete floors and raw wood with shmancy touches like a gilt copper ceiling and extravagantly framed mirrors -- and a chef whose accomplishments include a Battle of the Chef's victory at the Spokane Women's Show, which must have aired on Oxygen.
