Judge the bar by its nomenclature: you can literally hide out -- and of course, imbibe -- at The Hideout in Seattle’s First Hill neighborhood. With an elevated cocktail culture, and elevated culture in general (it’s also an art gallery, because why not?), The Hideout encourages its patrons to drink well, by candlelight. Primarily focused on high-quality cocktails and ingredients, the salon-style bar also offers a limited menu of small snacks and chocolate confections. It’s great for early-on dates, impressing out-of-town guests, and (shamelessly) drinking alone. Just make sure you know where you’re going; it should come as no surprise that the bar's unmarked doors are easy to miss.
