Now back open after a huge refurb involving everything from leather armchairs to a beer garden, Shaftesbury's now part pub, part steakhouse, bussing in whole sides of beef to be sliced on-site into "random" cuts (bone-in cote de boeuf!), and allowing you to choose whatever weight you want -- from smaller than norm to huger than norm -- to be charcoal flash-roasted in their "indoor BBQ" Inca oven. Beyond hunks of meat, the menu offers booze-touched treats like Sipsmiths-cured salmon, burgers w/ Bloody Mary relish, and g&t sorbet, which'll ironically melt into a stiff drink.
