Housed in a small, bi-level bistro space in Silver Lake, L&E Oyster Bar is known for its constantly rotating, expansive roster of regional oysters. While bivalves are king -- be they raw, fried, grilled, or Rockefeller -- other seafood house staples reside on the menu for the oyster-averse. The "bar" part of L&E Oyster Bar is a limited list of wines, but limited only because of space, not because of their importance in the experience. Seafood friendly and easy on the wallet (for the most part), the wines are exclusively selected to complement the oysters. In other words, you have no excuse not to indulge in a pairing. Plus, the atmosphere resembles a seaside eatery of the same kind, so you don't even have to travel across the city to feel like you're slurping oysters by the sand.
