This longtime neighborhood Italian favorite from Gino Angelini has a quaint patio that’s partitioned away from the street and is perfect for weekend brunch, which extends from 11 am to 3 pm. Dig into dishes like a Frittata Alla Carbonara, Lemon Ricotta Pancakes with blueberry and raspberry compote, and scrambled eggs with white or black truffles on crunchy crostini bread, plus a Greek yogurt with honey, chia seeds, walnuts, almonds, and blueberries for those who prefer a lighter meal. Mimosas are prepared with freshly squeezed OJ and prosecco, but at $15 a pop, it might make more sense to bring your own bottle(s) and pay the $30 corking fee (the fee rises to $50 for the third corkage).
Pick up everything you need for a blowout Italian feast (no turkey required) from Gino Angelini’s long-running trattoria. There are trays of lasagna verde with beef and veal ragu; eggplant parm; salads including a tricolore, Tuscan farro, and the Osteria chopped; and sides of white polenta, mashed potatoes, spicy broccoli, and more. Mains include grilled branzino or salmon, wood-roasted whole porchetta leg, and grilled Colorado lamb chops. There are whole cakes available, too. If you want to do a day of noshing, you can also grab a nice artisanal cheese plate, sliced prosciutto by the pound, and hors d'oeuvres including braised baby artichokes, mini meatball sliders, and traditional arancini rice balls.
Takeout details: Most trays and mains serve between 6-14 people. Prices vary.
