This Thanksgiving, ARLO will be serving up chef Josh Mouzakes’ inventive, three-course prix-fixe menu. Festive dishes include a Bleu Cheese Gougére amuse with a champagne splash; Roasted Baby Beet Salad (baby kale, port geleé, pistachio, English cucumber) or Bay Scallops (green beans, winter truffle, forest mushrooms, sherry cream sauce); and Turkey Breast and Prosciutto (smoked potato, cornbread stuffing raviolo, cranberry heart of palm purée) or Turkey Thigh (sweet potato brûlée, roasted root vegetables, pomegranate gravy). Helmed by executive chef Josh Mouzakes, whose 20-year career includes training at The French Laundry, the menu features shareable plates like Brick Oven Bolognese and Jerk Spiced Veggie Churrasco, wood-fired flatbreads, and larger entrees such as a Bison Tenderloin and Dry Aged Yellowfin Tuna. Don’t sleep on the ARLO sourdough, a generous boule that comes with herb butter, smoked sea salt, and an addictive honey roasted garlic spread.

Hotel Circle usually doesn’t pop into your mind when you think of romance, but the multi-million dollar renovation of the Town and Country Hotel includes ARLO, its stunning new restaurant, helmed by executive chef Josh Mouzakes. Mouzakes, whose 20-year career includes training at The French Laundry and four years as chef de cuisine for fine dining and executive banquet chef at the Hotel del Coronado, has created a menu that features shareable plates like Charcuterie de Mer and California Paella, wood-fired flatbreads and larger entrees such as a Bacon-Wrapped Pork Tenderloin and Maple Leaf Farms Duck. The small but thoughtful wine list is surprisingly affordable, with most bottles in the $35-$50 range.
