This Hudson Valley farm is always one of the most popular spots for apple picking, but Barton offers far more than just that. In addition to the orchards, there’s a corn maze; aerial adventure park, Treetop Adventures; and for local craft beer, cider, and wine, the Tap Room. As for apples: expect over 120 acres of trees, and they rotate picking areas frequently to ensure visitors always have access to well-stocked trees and the ripest fruit. The farm also hosts frequent weekend events, including Oktoberfest, Fall Festivals, and their Country Music Jamborees.
By public transport: 2 hours and 25 minutes. From Grand Central Station, take the Harlem Line towards Wassaic and exit at the Pawling Station. From there, take a cab ride eight miles to the orchards.
By car: 1 hour and 40 minutes
