It’s quite the dilemma during fall in South Florida, when the weather is all warm breezes and blue sky, but the Dolphins are playing at 1 pm. Get the best of both worlds at the Bayshore Club, a stunning new spot on the bay in Coconut Grove where towering screens surround a sleek bar stocked with plenty of cold beer. If the Fins are having a bad day, you can get lost in the front-row views of the water, or head out to the back lawn for some oversized chess or jenga. The food is a big step above usual sports bar fare too, with conch fritters and fresh fish specials worth sticking around for after the game.
If your date’s a Miami OG they’ll probably have mixed feelings about patronizing this spot that knocked out the old Scotty’s Landing. But while Scotty’s made for a fun laid back waterside date, the new Bayshore Club is an absolute showstopper, where every table comes with a sprawling bay view, and seats down in the sand make you feel like you’re on a two hour honeymoon. If gazing into each others’ eyes over a sandy two-top isn’t making sparks fly, the Bayshore Club also offers a game area where you can compete at ping pong and cornhole to get the adrenaline going. Then kick back next to an intimate fire pit to bring things down.
