The Best Pizza Spots in San Francisco
This spot has been popular since it opened in 2008 for good reason: thin-crust pies and creative cocktails in a buzzy space. That space is currently closed, but there is sidewalk seating with impermeable barriers between tables and a parklet with semi-private booth seating. Plus, there’s also a second, temporary, location on Divisadero where Barvale used to be. All 10 dinnertime pizzas are worth ordering (especially the hot salami), but we can’t resist the carbonara -- bacon, two eggs, mozzarella, pecorino, and cracked black pepper -- which is usually only available for brunch, but is also now available for dinner because the folks at Beretta get what we need during these strange times.
How to order: Both locations are open for outdoor and limited indoor dining. The Mission location is open seven days a week for outdoor dining, as well as pickup and delivery. You can also, for the first time ever, make a reservation for brunch and/or happy hour, as well as add your name to a waitlist for dinner. The Divisadero pop-up is also open seven days a week with reservations for brunch and happy hour and a waitlist for dinner. Call 415-654-5211 for takeout; delivery is coming soon.
