Partners Maribel Araujo and Arístides Barrios debuted their casual Venezuelan eatery, Caracas Arepa Bar, almost a decade and a half ago, focused on affordably-priced arepas––the classic Latin cornmeal cake which, here, comes filled with everything from chorizo to pork shoulder. At this former participant of Thrillist Ghost Kitchen, house favorites include the De Pabellón, piled high with a mix of shredded beef, black beans, fried sweet plantains, and finished with a layer of cotija cheese.
