Following the success of his Silver Lake restaurant Alimento, James Beard-nominated chef Zach Pollack opened Cosa Buona in neighboring Echo Park as an ode to wood-fired pies and craveable antipastos. Start with a savory sott'olio with pickled veggies and mozzarella, followed by your choice of smoky mozzarella sticks and chicken wings with gorgonzola dip and crudite, a main course of mushroom or sausage pizza, and a cheesecake dessert with semolina streusel and topped with luxardo cherries.
The deal: $35 for a four-course dinner.
