Located above Ponce City Market in the Old Fourth Ward, Nine Mile Station attracts beer lovers from nine stories (not quite miles) below. The beer garden is adjacent to Skyline Park -- a Coney Island-style amusement park -- and has indoor and outdoor spaces with unmatched views of the city. Their menu offers European-inspired, beer-friendly fare like baby back ribs, schnitzel, sausages -- in bratwurst, kielbasa, or merguez form, and offered by the inch -- and root beer cake with bourbon cream. The beer list is as you’d expect from a beer garden: extensive, with imports and local brews represented both on draft and in bottles. For the less barley-inclined, there’s plenty of wine to choose from, and a variety of classic and craft cocktails, including three variations on an old fashioned.
