Michigan’s HopCat, in all its barley-filled glory, has hopped the pond (read: Lake Michigan) and landed in Lincoln Park. The craft beer bar features over 100 beers on draft, and twice that many in bottles and cans. Though rooted in the grips of the mitten, HopCat Chicago will focus primarily on Illinois craft brews -- with the exception of Goose Island (thanks a lot, Anheuser-Busch). Ciders are also available, as well as a list of craft cocktails, wine, and mead. Their menu consists of traditional pub fare, like spinach-artichoke dip, wings, burgers and sandwiches, and more. And there’s an entire section of the menu devoted to their famous “Crack Fries,” which should be enjoyed with your choice of Chicago brews.
