The team behind Sunrise Coffee launched their own roasting company, Mothership Coffee Roasters, in 2015, in the hopes of refocusing on their true passion—the coffee. Whereas Sunrise is a full-service cafe with tons of food and constant activity, Mothership is a pared-down spot with a limited menu and a small selection of (local, delicious, flaky) pastries. Coffee comes either as a pour-over or drip, and espresso drinks are limited to the unsweetened classics (cappuccino, macchiato). They also offer a signature cold brew coffee brewed with hops that's the closest thing to a beer you can drink before noon. The industrial space isn't great for lounging, but the drinks more than make up for that.
