The Drink

This nautical-inspired East Williamsburg bar is kept afloat by an owners circle of sailers, musicians and artists, and their influence shows: in a room covered in art depicting stormy ocean scenes and three-masted schooners, drinkers sip specialty punches, craft cocktails, brandy and port at mismatched wooden chairs and tables. The punch, served by the glass bowl, shouldn’t be passed on, and comes with cute names like The Mutiny (tequila, watermelon, lime, rhubarb bitters, mint). Food pop-up events and live music hit the space like passing storms. A whitewashed boat in the bout-ornamented backyard is outfitted with benches you can can sip like a true seaman, hopefully without going (or falling) overboard.
