Though singlebarrel did offer a solid lineup of classic mixed drinks, most people remember the Downtown San Jose bar for its annoyingly long weekend lines. Now, the low-key subterranean speakeasy is known as Haberdasher, which still boasts an impressive craft cocktail list and a moody 1920s look (even the attentive bartenders are dressed in Prohibition-style getups), but improved its formerly slow service and crowded feel by adding another bar station and accepting reservations for tables.
