Wine

Decommissioned in 1997, the Alameda Naval Air Base is now home to a 40,000sqft winery where Shauna Rosenblum and her father Kent make red, white, and sparkling wines using grapes sourced from across California. The repurposed winery gets its name from the defensive wall built during WWII to protect San Francisco Bay, and the rock wall -- along with majestic views of the bay -- are visible from the base.
