Off the bat, Autentica tells you what it’s all about: authentic Mexican. The Concordia restaurant specializes in traditional Guerrero regional cuisine, meaning this is not the place for a burrito (in fact, they don’t even have burritos on the menu). Chef Oswaldo Bibiano’s menu is rooted, upscale, and offers large portions at reasonable prices with a smattering of epazote across the board. Start your meal with regionally-inspired familiar favorites like tacos al pastor or queso fundido con chorizo, and move on to more complex dishes like the “Pollo en Mole Guerrerense,” made with their signature 30-something ingredient mole. Stop in on Thursday for their signature pozole, and on Sunday for margarita night. And if it’s Mexican street food you crave, check out their sister restaurant, Uno Mas Taquiza.
