Four & Twenty Blackbirds

This sweet little pie shop owned by two sisters makes some of the best pies in Brooklyn, which is why their Thanksgiving pre-sale is already sold out. Luckily, Four & Twenty Blackbirds will have a limited number of first-come first-served pies available starting Monday, November 21 until Thanksgiving Day at their 3rd St location in Gowanus, including a Brown Butter Apple Streusel, their signature Salty Honey Pie, Chocolate Chess, Matcha Custard, and more.

Sisters Melissa and Emily Elsen launched this rustic yet creative pie shop back in 2009 and it has since become a beloved NYC darling among the pie loving set. The two Brooklyn locations of Four & Twenty Blackbirds (which also offer coffee, select pastries, and a smattering of seating) sell creations like the popular salty honey, Black Bottom Oat, and matcha custard, along with autumn seasonal favorites like brown butter pumpkin, bittersweet chocolate pecan, and salted caramel apple. In other seasons, catch recipes like Lemon Chess, Junipear, and strawberry balsamic.
