Jason Bakery, arugably Cape Town's most inventive bakery, makes some of the best breads and pastries in South Africa. From the ciabatta to the sourdough to the rye, all of their breads are worth trying, either at home or in the form of one of the bakery's sandwiches. The sandwich menu rotates regularly, but the signature porchetta is homemade and not to be missed. Besides the porchetta, Jason is known for their unique donuts, which come in both regular and "doughssant" varieties, always covered with melty sauces and crazy toppings. A biker bar cool atmosphere keeps the crowd mostly young and hip, and this place is mega popular so seating is tough to find—arrive early.
