In 2019, celebrated chef Govind Armstrong passed the reins of his Cal-fresh comfort food spot to mentee John Cleveland and his wife Roni Cleveland, who have remained committed to providing high-quality, farm-fresh ingredients in dishes like wood-oven trout, jerked catfish, and hand-stretched pizzas, as well as in their bar program, which features fresh takes on classic cocktails like the ginger mojito with ginger jam, rum, garden mint, and lime, plus an old fashioned menu with five different options. Post & Beam reopened for indoor and outdoor dining on Easter weekend, revealing new Chef de Cuisine Martin Draluck (Hatchet Hall), as well as a few new menu items, like Pacific oysters in a watermelon mignonette and house hot sauce and a cast-iron chicken entree with garlic confit and grilled lemon.
