From the geniuses at Consortium Holdings comes Rare Form, an upscale deli meets neighborhood bar where sandwiches are stuffed to the brim with pork belly, grilled swordfish, chicken schnitzel, and more gourmet fillings. The Gaslamp Quarter spot operates on the principle that there's a cocktail for every sandwich -- or that the Rare Form Whiskey Cocktail, a spin on the Old Fashioned, pairs with every sandwich. West Coast craft beers round out the menu, as do a few boilermakers.
