Shawn's Southern BBQ



The appropriately named Shawn Pitts is pitmaster of this BBQ joint just across the river from Louisville, where he serves generations-old recipes he learned from relatives during summers in Chapel Hill, Tennessee. The rib tips here are well worth your time and are guaranteed to get things messy, as are the dry-rubbed St. Louis-style ribs, which are smoked for five hours over a hickory and cherry wood. They're milld, smoky, and perfectly juicy.
